Belgrave 2nd XV entertained a young fit Birstall XV at the pastures.
Birstall came out came out with all guns blazing and took an early lead and it looked as though Belgrave would suffer a large defeat but Belgrave as usual withstood the early pressure and as Birstall tired took full advantage.
With tries a plenty Belgrave ran out eventual winners 54pts to 20pts.
